Bengal College of Engineering and Technology for Women (BCETw) is located in a sprawling land of 5 acres area of campus in lush green and serene area of Bidhan Nagar, right in the heart of Durgapur.
It is dedicated  to nurture engineering and technological education for girls through rigorous teaching and training in an integrated approach.
It is exclusively built up for providing higher technical education to women in the eastern region.
At present the College offers Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The Institute has well ventilated classrooms, modern computerized library, well equipped modern state-of-the -art laboratories with latest technology equipment. The institute is envisioned to be a leader in the field of education in general and technical education in particular with major objectives of generating women engineers and scientists at graduate, post-graduate and doctoral levels. Durgapur is well connected to other parts of India by rail and road network and is at a comfortable distance from Kolkata Airport. A two and a half hours bus journey is what it takes to reach this campus from Kolkata.
